I'm not sure of the phisical part or the transplant but we had LT85 in the racer and then removed it in favor of an R380 which is reverse swap of what you're asking.
The LT85 is much taller than the usual Discovery boxes so you may have to do some some mods around the tunnel and gear lever etc.
Thats what I know but I'm sure someone else has more experiance than me on this subject.

Thanks very much! I dont see it being an easy one and probably a rare conversion?
Main problems I were thinking about would be the length of the input shaft and bellhousing (too short) and the position of the gear lever, the lt85 being long stick, didnt know if I can use a short stick remote.
I would like to get the engine back as far as poss due to the immense weight of it,will need messing about with mounts etc. but doesnt worry me greatly.A shorter bellhousing would help this
My main concern is keeping the same props(transfer box in same position as it is now) and the gear lever position

Afraid I don't know what a slti is.
But I can't see why you can't do it, just depends how much work you want to do.
Not sure how much of a benefit you'll get though, I don't think they are much stronger and certainly not as nice to use.
