Not sure if you can do this or not but worth asking.
I have a Disco 2 TD5. When using the remote to unlock the car one press opens the drivers door only, second press opens the passenger doors and a third press opens the rear tail gate.
Is there any way to reprogram the remote so I can unlock all doors with one press as it is a pain having to keeping pressing the switch to be honest.
Thanks
Jerry

Jerry:
Is there some reason why your posts come out almost unreadable? I am getting black text on a dark green background, almost impossible to read.
Regarding the key fob, I believe that the sequential operation is something dreamed up as being more 'security conscious' than the one-shot opening.
I have a Renault Trafic van with the same sequence, but I can see that for just the driver's door to open initially is possibly better, but still a pain to use in practice, especially if I have to open the passenger door for my wife, at which point ALL the doors unlock!

Are you sure you have option to have 3 presses? It is usually 1 press to unlock the drivers door and a second press to unlock all the other doors including rear end door. This can be changed to 1 press to unlock all, it can be done with a Nanocom or similar or you can change it yourself, can't rememember how but I did mine shortly after I got it, the instructions must be in the handbook.
I have also set mine to autolock once you start moving, the misses always used to manually do it, so I earnt a few brownie points there!

sorry to jump on the post, but talking about door locking, is it possible to fit a remote locking system on a disco 1 1990?

Yes there are kits to retro fit CL to any vehicle, ecu and master servo (actuator) plus a slave servo for each of the other doors plus connecting rods and clamps and the fobs.
It's an easy job if you have CL already and just want fit the remote function. Then kit then comes with just an ecu and a fob or two, and may be a replacement master servo.
I did my old RRC years ago as part of the Cobra alarm system I fitted.
I dont' know if Cobra are still around now but there kit was good.
