Hi, wonder if someone could help me.
I have just fitted a used soft top to my 06 model, I have a feeling this soft top came of an earlier version i.e. 2001 ish.
My problem is that when I run the rear window up there is about 1" gap.
My question is, should a 2001 soft top fit a 2006 and if so how do I get the window to fit.
Cheers

All the soft tops are the same, so there shouldn't be a problem.
Sounds like the window isn't properly resetting.

Thanks for the reply, stoopid question, does the rear window re-adjust depending on whether a soft or hard top is on?
If the car is that bright - any ideas how it can be fixed.
Thanks in advance

Is your soft top correctly fitted?

Did you got instructions with used soft top?

To reset rear windows the easiest way is to unplug minus from battery for about 5 min and then reconnect. Rear window will drop down and then you just hold rear window button for up till max closed and after that for another 10 seconds and this will recalibrate it.

Maybe soft top is not properly assembled and this is why you have 1" gap.

Hi
Thanks for all of the replies, appreciated.
Yes, I fitted it as per the instructions, it is a wee bit tight at the back, are the side bars supposed to be straight or have a slight bend in them at the joint? There is a little bit of give in the top section of the canvas, will grap the hubby tonight and try again.
Thanks

Alas, still not quite there, did the reclaribration of the rear window but still 1mm on one side and about 2 on the other - odd. It does go in with a push but its a bit diffecult when I am on my own.
Trip to the "all expensive" landrover garage me thinks :(, unless anybody has any other ideas.
Smart picture of your Freelander by the way.
Thanks for your help so far.
