Got the Discovery now,help please.

I picked up the 2002 discovery and it drives ok ,battery was no good but got one in town .

The Battery has been flat for some time and the airbag light is on !! how can i get this to go out???
As i live in Bulgaria parts could be a drama but i am sure it will be ok.
amazing that companies still think the world is flat and wont ship to Bulgaria.

I bought some windscreen wipers and realised the Discovery a special made but i ground the new ones to shape on the bench grinder to fit until i find a shipper or our next guests to bring them over. anybody know of companies that sell accessories please.

Also i have no airbags on the suspension ?? after reading some of the threads on here i looked behind the rear wheels but nothing is this normal for people to take them off???

Just to make you laugh the radio says cd player on it but the front flips down to show a cassette slot ,so off i go and buy a new one with a memory slot etc and when i looked in the plastice box in the boot there is a 10cd auto changer :eek: what a knob!!!!

Disco's are fun, so don't let it get you down, when they are running they are great!

Mine a Disco 1,i had the SRS light come on, when i changed the battery all i did was disconnect left it for 2 mins re-connected, and it cleared the light.

But i have heard that the ECU is programmed to flash the light on after 10 years to have the airbags serviced.

Is it an oil burner or petrol?

The rear air suspension was, I beleive not offered on the base models, an option on the mid range and standard fit on the top range. Do not worry too much about it, given your 'remote' location, in the long run you will probably save yourself a heap of time and money hunting for replacement parts when the ACE system starts to play up :eek:.

look for JGS4x4 on ebay or web. they do wipers for D2.

Lol , the AutoChanger is normally under the drivers seat, Suspect thats the Phillips Unit from description.
