Hi My alternator bearings are squealing. I have looked on microcat and can only find manual alternator part numbers. I guess the auto discovery alternator is a high amp one but which part number? The car is a 95 auto. Any ideas?

I'd guess that the alternator is the same, it's things like air-con that need more electrical power, and and auto box doesn't take that much to run, as most of the operations are hydraulic.
Don't leave doing it too long, the bearings will go one day and take a few other bits with them

The engine code is 22L so I recon the part number is AMR 4248 not the YLE NUMBER. Can anyone who has a 95 automatic confirm this. Thanks Dean

Be careful with Denso units sold by anyone with a Border Holdings account, they are advertised as OEM or similar against the LR p/n but they dont last long.In frustration I am using Bosch reman units, hopefully a good compromise between cost and quality.
