My better half ordered a lift pump on Tuesday from one of the bigger suppliers in Lro and explained she needed it for the weekend as we are going away on Monday. Well it turned up on Friday without the two nuts and olives required to fit it which kind of scupperes going away, unless anyone has a suggestion for removing the olives and nuts off the old pump. What is annoying is that when the wife ordered them she asked if anything else was requied and to be fair to the young lad he went away to check as he wasn't sure. It even says on the bl~~dy invoice that the aprts are required. Any suggestions for getting me out of this pickle would be greatly appreciated

Ive managed to get the olives off the old pump and re use them. From memory they are just a tight fit.. I think i used pliers or something... a decent auto spares shop should have them though.

now i think about it my brother got them off.... he might have put the pump in a vice and tapped them off with a screwdriver and hammer.. We DEFINATELY re used the olives and nuts though.. not leaked since and that was many months ago

Thanks for the reply. The new ones should be here in the morning, failing that I will try and remove the originals.
