If you buy a new one the bearmach ones are pretty good and seem to be up to the job. I bought a britpart one and it lasted 44km's. Genuine would be best though!

There's one on the bench at the factory, No2 son bought it for his Series 3 but the speedo was screw fit.
I'll have a look later and post back here.

The speedo head end is missing the clip.. Although my old one was missing the clip and the PO just used electrical tape to keep the end in, which worked well..

that 's the very thing haha. mine is missing the clip as well, that's why it took me so long to figure out the cable was snapped. i'd just assumed it wasn't sitting on right and never got round to sorting it till the other day. that's great you have one, let me know how much you need for it plus postage to bonny scotland of course haha. cheers again, gill

Some speedos had the clip in the instrument rather than the speedo, but we cannot find it at the workshop.
£6.50 including postage?
