Disco II TD5 Auto

I'm off for a test drive of one later this week.

It's a full spec 2x sunroofs (yea I know they leak!) + leather & air con.

Any tips and advice what to look for other than the usual?

Are the key rust points any different from a Disco 1?

Will assume you read forum regular enough to know about ECU, FPR, screeching fuel pump , leaking things etc

My tips would be ;

Air Suspension ; Put it into Off Road mode and make sure it does go .. otherwise Compressor is Kaput . When in this mode listen for leaks etc.

if its a nice warm day , Switch the Air Con on full blast (it may trigger the XYZ fault if its a problem) .

get it on the motorway or open road . Make sure it changes smoothly and then operate the kick down , make sure it does , otherwise as a minimum the oil needs changing

Listen for Vibrations at around 2300 rpm , its NOT exhaust or heat shield if they try to tell you it is , why havent they fixed it if that is the case ?

Yes there arent anywhere as bad here . But not to say you shouldnt check. Check more however for rusty ACE pipework I would say . That seems to be a common thing if vehicle hasnt been undersealed regularly.
