Disco/Defender+Trailer Broken Down A1 South?

We got held up at a biggish jam on the way home, probably 10-15 miles south of Newark. Police plain-clothes BMW had closed the nearside lane, and there was a Disco, followed by a red Defender and trailer in the lane, just stopped.

Nobody hurt, looked like a breakdown so we didn't add to the melee by stopping.

Must have been after about 16:40. I think I saw them, but then there were so many Land Rovers at the roadside with their bonnets up that I mentioned it to Landysteve. I had a very good run to London, got diesel for 99.9P/Ltr at ASDA Dagenham and then the wheels came off getting through London, withall the 'weekend warriors' getting in the way.
