View Full Version : Traction control unit
Right then, my TC, ABS and HDC warning lights are all on. I checked the ABS fuses and there is no problem there. I checked the wiring behind the steering gaitor and that appears fine.
Now if I remove the plug in the centre of the Traction control unit under the drivers seat the TC and HDC lights go out. So what part of the TC or HDC system is this plug connected to?
Cheers!

The unit under the drivers seat is the abs ecu.
You've already checked the wiring to the hdc switch under the gearstick gaiter so have a fiddle with the brake light switch and the abs sensors and wiring.
The brake light switch was new a few months ago with the MOT and its a pre 2001 so its just the simple 2 wire switch thats not connected the ABS system.
Ill give the abs sensor wires a wiggle and see what happens!

Check you don't have a bulb out (yes really!!)
Check the brake light switch again.
Check the air gap on the ABS wheel units.

Whats the air gap on the ABS wheel units?
Checked all bulbs and they are all working correctly.
