Firstly take all the lenses off and take the bulbs out give the terminals a good clean and a spray of wd-40. make sure the bulb filements are in good nick then if so pop them back in. Now try your indicators. No joy.... Take the dash clock panel off and get to the flasher relay and change it for a new one.

Thanks Grant,
Was wondering where that flasher unit was. I will replace that and see if that fixes it.

If you can't hear the clicking noise of the flashers, chances are you need a new flasher unit. Be sure and check the connections from the actual indicator switch on the column to the flasher and fuse box.

I replaced the entire indicator stalk (they tend to break), and eventually traced my problem to a faulty Brake light switch. The MOD had setup three relay's on the engine firewall/bulhead for the nato trailer electrics, and somehow the indicator electrical path was routed through them.

Once I replaced the dodgy brake switch...problem solved.

Get a circuit tester as this will make your life a "little" easier.

Good Luck.

I found the flasher and replased it and still no indicators. The old one was not clicking and nither is this one.
Is there anyway of knowing is it the indicator stalk that is the problom and is there a relay somewhere in the circut.

My wireing loom is a nightmare, previous owners have done a lot of new wireing and it is hard to follow what is going where because everythin is covered in tape

check for voltage up to the flasher unit first, if youve got it there and youve already replaced the flasher unit. put 12v direct to the back of the indi stalk. without looking at a diagram i think, its red / green (o/s) and white / green (n/s) see if you can get the lights on permaintly. if so as youve already replaced the flasher units itll be a stalk.

if you cant get the lights on perminatly via probing the stalk check for a poor earth

Still waiting on my indi stalk, damn fedex!!

Thanks everyone for there help, i found the damn problom.
Just for anyone else with the same problom of no indicators i will explain what is wrong.
Indicators stoped working so i replaced the flasher unit, this was not the problom. After over an hour of traceing wires through insulating tape i found that there was no power going to my flasher unit so that was why i was getting no power to the back of the switch.
I found a 12v feed and connected it to the flasher unit and the lights work now. I have left out the bit about pulling half the inside of the cab apart to find out all this, so moral of the story for all other would be machinics like myself is check you have power going to the individual components first. My problom has something to do with the fuel gauge because both lights and fule gauge have stoped working at once.
