do i need to put the fuel tank return line through the diesel filter ? i cant find a double banjo anywhere apart from on line and i realy wanted to get this done today .
i've tried every car shop , spares center , scrap yard and cant find one anywhere . i've got a bolt to blank it off is this going to be ok and just have the tank return line coming from the injector rail ?
i cant see it making much of a difference but i thought i would ask the pros first before i start chopping things

You don't 'need' to, as long as it is the leak-off pipe from the injectors. The actual flow is negligible if the injectors are in reasonable shape.
If you have a 'full-flow' system then it is usually fed back separately anyway, so just make sure you're not going to inhibit the flow in that situation.

at the moment there is no filter at all cos its been badly badged , at the mo it comes straight off the injector ( bulkhead end ) and straight onto the tank return so think it will be ok , well it couldn't be any worse lol

It'll be alright without the banjo, but would be better with it when you can get aorund to it - the reason for the banjo connection on the top of the filter housing is to self-purge the filter, making sure any air in it is sent to the fuel tank and vented rather than sent to the injection pump. If you bleed the system carefully and it's air-tight, then you shouldn't get any trouble as long as you don't let the tank quantity drop below 1/4 (to ensure you never suck air into the fuel system).

Does anyone have a schematic of how a 2.5n/a is plumbed in when in a series 3. I am finally getting round to doing the same conversion in mine and have to do the whole thing in a day so it would certainly help. I dont have the 2.5 to hand as it is where I am doing the swap but if memory serves me correctly doesn't it have an extra connection?
Thanks
