Don't think so
Nor will it meet Land Roves 3.5 ton maximum llimit. I know the trailers got air-brakes, so 4tons is permissible -but the Discovery hasn't

It also depends what you put ont he trailer as well.. :) When you load a nice steam engine on he back, it would be fun just to see if the disco could even move it without burning the clutch out... ;)

I don't think the trailers 'ramp over' angle would be much offroad.

Well...the wheels would just spin on that surface as it's just compacted tarmac scrapings/chippings.

If the brakes were off I think it'd move it even loaded to about 30+tons, after all haven't we all seen TV footage of Police Range Rovers moving artics n the motorway?

The most I've moved on tarmac with the Discovery is about 26tons

And what was that?

I assume that this is the tow-vehicle for that low-loader, no idea of the usual load

They're kept in the same compound where we keep the caravan

It was an old (poorly maintained) Ford Cargo artic that had burnt the clutch out in queuing traffic & then promptly expired on the junction.

Low-range 1st saw it moved a couple of hundred yards to a lay-by where he could phone his boss for help

I bet he was impressed that his truck could be shifted by a disco!

Not impressed enough to offer 'pound-notes' sadly

He was saving up for a new clutch...

That's public spirited of you and potentially a big non-refundable risk to your vehicle. I pulled a Merc beaver tail plant lorry, with one 3 ton digger on the back and another on the trailer, out of a flood that was up to his headlights in my old S3 2.25 petrol. At least I got a tenner!
