I have bought 2 day running lights to fit to the front, but need an ignition controlled live feed in the engine compartment. Car is a Td4. Anyone any ideas?

Hi Graham, Have a look at the fusebox in the engine compartment P106. According to Rave there is a position for a relay used in the petrol's for a fuel pump relay that should be free? R103 - Input on C0575-2, Output on C0572-3. If you check out the existing wiring (you may be lucky) and add any missing links (if you are not) then you should be able to plug in a standard relay to get an ignition fed/relay switched/fused feed for your new running lights using the fuel pump electrics without any major bolt on changes. You may want to up the rating of F10 to cope with extra light load. Neat solution?

That's the silly things which made that Audi these days is so popular amongst *****s and dicks etc.... (they're called Angel Eyes I believe). I very much prefer my version but still need to work out a system for the height adjustment as they're still on unequal height as you can see. I've something in mind to cure this but that what I've in mind is rather complex thus not fitted for most of the people who are possibly interested in buying....:p:D:D:D
See one of the words I used got asterikses instead, didn't know p r i c k's is a gross word in the English language ?:(

Willo, you need longer bits of string from the lamps, over the bonnet, around the spindles of the windscreen wipers and then through the drivers window, then you can adjust them by pulling them up, or letting them down!!
That will be a crate of Duvel please, for my idea!!

Great idea. But think it would even be easier if I passed that string via both passenger/driver's sides windows ? If I then can adjust them (the daytime running lights) at correct level it's enough to put a mark on the string in the cabin, at a certain fix point, (something similar as the colored piece of tape rallypilots put on the steeringwheel to see where the straight ahead position of the steeringwheel is) to see if everything still ok or needs adjustment ???
And re that crate of Duvel, will it be ok if I wait until there is a special offer in the shops here, two for the price of one ???:D:D:D:D (Not bad as beer éh ???;))

Now, if you put little loops in the string at the right points you could actually just pull and hook them over something. Wouldn't even have to look that closely when you were doing it.
As for the Duvel, no I don't mind waiting, in fact, you could buy a couple of crates at the special price and bring them over!!
Excellent beer.
I was introduced to it a couple of years ago when we had a caravan holiday in Ghent. Had to walk back to the van from town several evenings!! Hic!! Must go back some time.
Where are you in Belgium?

I'm situated 15 kms from Brussels. (North-North/West of Brussels in fact).
And re the Duvel, yes, it's a cheating ******* beer eh ? You feel zip and when you get on your feet and in the open air it almost k.o.'s you.....:D (When you said you had to walk to the van I assume you mean some sort of slalom traject ????)
