TD5 Auto temperature warning light

TD5 Auto temperature warning light comes on after about 30 mins. Then Goes off then on again during entire journey. No problem short journey. Can the rad cooler block up restricting the flow - there is slight leak on the gearbox where the top pipe (above exhaust on passenger side) connects. Is this one the flow to the cooler. Tis car has had oil and filter changed and new pipes when one split. Mileage 110K. Thanks any advice

Its almost certainly the sensor has gone faultly . Its by FAR the most common cause of this and thankfully easy enough to put right .

Thats not to say its not something else so do get that replaced as soon as you can to make sure.
