View Full Version : no power at ignition
was splicing two wires today on a brown wire soldered at the side of steering colum when i touched the body work did i blow a fuse or what cause when i turn on ignition i get nothin no dash lights hope some one can help
its an 03 td5

Sounds like you have blown the ignition feed fuse.
The main power fuses and relays are under the bonnet by the battery, the distribution fuses are below the steering column behind the cover with two retaining screws.

checked fuse box in engine compartment was a blown 20amp replaced it but still nothing

There are also Fusible Links in that box, I think they are under the top layer of relays, you may have nudged on of them as well.

well checked main fuse box there all ok cant find fuses under steering columm though
i checked out on rave and it says fuse 26 on passenger fuse box but no fuses on passenger side or im just blind

Passenger COMPARTMENT, not passenger side.
The fuse box cover is to the right and below the steering wheel, has two slotted head screws to release.

checked all the fuses yesterday just need to check fuseable link and the relay hopefully its one of them thanks for your help, will let you know
just checked ive blown the 50a fuseable link in the engine fuse box just need to get a replacement now thanks for all the help
