I was looking forward to the new film as i am a fan of the tv series and wanted to see how it compared until........................Busted have done the theme - it's just been on the radio - it's appallingly SH*T!

Well, you can always buy the original FAB1 on ebay next week.. :)
I am also looking forward to seeing thunderbirds, but as always, will it work in live action?
Will have to listen out for the music..

...Busted have done the theme - !
That's probably a clue to the quality of the film...
From the clips I've seen Thunderbird 2 looks a right mess.
Shame really 'cos it was always my favourite.
I'll probably still drag my kids to see it though and bore them with tales of how when I was a lad there was "proper" Thunderbirds, not this modern digital crap!

hmm, I must be too old, I remember Blue Peter making a Tracy Island, out of toilet roll tubes, green paper and sticky back plastic... expanding foam hadn't been invented then I think...

It'll be 'interesting' especially as the Director Johnathon Frakes (Will Ryker - Star Trek; Next Generation) never saw it a a kid. He's approaching it as simply a live-action 'drama/sci-fi/disaster/fantasy' movie.
A double-edged proposition I know, but I'll wait & see.
Must agree T2 looks a bit 'iffy' though, especially when it's landing outside the Houses Of Parliament.
Still, my first eagerly awaited film of the year is being watched tomorrow night 'Shrek 2'
Then it's 'Spiderman 2'
Will there be an 'X-Men 3' ??? (anyone 'heard'/read anything?. can we see 'Beast' this time?)
According to the Teletext, there's a 'Fantastic Four' film in 2005. Mmmmm?

Can't they think of anything new nowadays??? I went to see the new Italian Job and I wondered why they bothered, and do we really need a new Thunderbirds??? I loved the original but I don't want to see my memories murdered. Same for Dr. Who, in my childhood it made my Saturday evenings, but I won't bother with this new one that is (supposedly) on the way.
The same thing is happening in the motor industry, no one has any imagination anymore. Look at the new Jag thingy, looks (vaguely) like a '60s Jag. And Rover went back to (probably fake) rad grills and them Chrysler ZZTop things you see now, they ain't a design from the last few years.
So why do we have to keep going back to the past to get ideas for the future?
cheers, Tim
