(i posted this in the discovery forum earlier but i think this is possibly a topic for a bit of a discussion..)
why you ask? well someone has got in touch with me at lrpickup and is looking for info..
has any one heard of this?
any info would be muchly appreciated..

I read about a guy that did this to a Disco. It was in one of the Landy comics about a year ago. I'll see if I can find it - I don't think it was in LRO, and that's the one I tend to keep hold of, so fingers crossed!

If I remember correctly, one of the mags did an article on a Swiss converted Discovery Pick up. The gist of the article was that, in Switzerland, it was cheaper to run a commercial vehicle than a private car, and so some person or company had chopped a disco, turned it into a commercial type vehicle [ie limited seating capacity with large load bed] but retained the legendary reliability and comfort of a Landrover.

i saw this done to a porsche 928 gt for exactly the same reason in norway or sweeden i think it was..
