On the front seats of my Disco TD5 the "leather" is looking a little worse for wear. The seats are grey leather on the sides and "suede" on the centres, this is the bit that looks worn, the fabric has worn away and "pilled" a little.
Having spoken to the local landrover dealer they want silly money for replacement seat covers, nearly a grand for the seat base and seat backs to do both front seats.
Are there other suppliers out there that can supply or is it find a local upholsterer to do some sort of repair/replacement?

I just had a Liquid Leather kit shipped over, to do the whole interior 70 squids including the correct leather dye, cleaner etc. http://www.liquidleather.com/
Really good stuff, will post pictures when I'm done.
You can try scratch doctor on Ebay they sell the cleaner & conditioner for around 9 squids.

Please do Jimbob and appraisal on how good it is , my driver seat is starting to show its age too and the passenger seat nicely stained from the sun roof issue that caught me out a few winters back..
Sratch Doctor would probably do the biz now , but knowing me I wont get around to it until its too worn so this seems like it may be worth looking at.
Do you have splits and holes etc . or are you just doing a clean up re-furb ?
Thanks

Dont think liquid leather will help in my case, the suede parts of the seat have worn badly, I was almost wondering it I could "shave" it in some way to remove the pilling effect that has happened but that would result in the material being thinner and only a temp solution.

Mine is exactly the same .. the seude centre part is bobbling up from entering and exiting for the last 9 years I guess .
If you find a solution that works for you let me know , ditto here .

Believe it or not, that's what all the bmw guys (bmwland)do with their seats, use a razor to shave all the bobbly bits off.never done it myself as the seats on my Beemer are fine. I will when the time comes though
