Two button fob that requires programming, I don't have a clue how to do it all I know it requires a computer and software, testbook or similar.
Take the fob to a main or indi LR dealer who have the kit to program the fob, also try RemoteKey.

I don't know where you are based, but, I had the same issue. I looked at the above website, but, found it cheaper at an Indi dealer. It took 12 minutes and cost £20. hartwells wanted £37.50 and couldn't guarantee a quick job. This is because their computers deal with new models. I have not had any problems since the Fob was programmed.

1 button you can do with a crazy sequence of door locking unlocking jumping on one foot etc. Two button requires computer.
One local indie garage wanted 45 for fob and 45 to program, landrover wanted similiar but they couldnt do it in time (i was going on holiday the next day)
The man in parts from land rover recommended trying an independant specialist (four plus four) in Leeds. they provided the fob and programmd it for just over 50 quid (that was total with VAT on it).
They did it two hours after i rang them!
It took about half hour or less too. Just ring round a few independant landy places and choose the best price.
