Radio/Sat Nav read out

Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2005 Freelander HSE which had only clocked 37,000 miles and is in excellent condition. One small problem I have seen is that if the radio/sat nav is switched on for about 1 hour the readout screen darkens and black lines appear across it altough I can still read it. Any ideas what causes this? Can it be fixed without spending a fortune?

Hi there, regarding your problem with darkened screen and black lines, I am afraid your display is ******ed, I had exactly the same and had it changed under warranty, it is possible to buy the replacement screen only but as to how much I have no idea, enquire at a LR daeler, when you have stopped laughing, try e-bay there are often complete units available so you could utilise the screen off that. good luck, please post the price you get off landrover.
