Hiya everyone. Hope you'll all be patient wiv me as i don't know much about Jeeps,:o

Me grandad left this red Discovery and i'd really like to keep it but a mate said its real expensive so I don't know what to do.

Me mate also said I should only keep it if I am going to use it offroad and i don't really know what that means. I can't drive it on the pavement, lol:D

Is there places were I can offroad, can I just drive long any track??

Welcome, DD.
We don't use the J*** word here:) A J*** is a Japanese biscuit tin, a LR is a 4x4 vehicle:cool:

If you post a question about help with off-roading in the Public Discussion section, someone who lives near you will probably pop up and help you.
Remember to say where you live!

Hello Disco_Diva, and welcome to the forums. Don't take any notice of the guy's sarky comments :D It's all just good natured fun. ;)

Tell us more about your Discovery, or post some pics of it, and I'm sure the guys will fill you in about the whole Landrover experience. :)

Some are nicer than others:rolleyes:
Where are you? Perhaps you'd like a local member to help you with some offroading at the weekend?
Unfortunately I live a bit too far away:(

A friend took me out in his defender last weekend, we went off the road in it on some country track near his house. He had the permission of the guy that owns the land.

I havent got my disco yet...still waiting to get reasonable insurance. Its at my Grans. But I think I'm hooked. Will a disco do the same as a defender?

Learnt not to go out and in the fields in a skirt and high heels though. Got very messy!

I'll try and get some pics of it soon.

there are a couple of good off road training centers near bristol, one is just past bristol airport (acf hospitality), the other is by avon ski center near shipam, I did a day with ACF well worth the money, off road in different vehicles and I learnt so much.

Depends on the driver I suppose. Mine could do the same as a defender but I manage to get stuck on every outing! Much to the amusement of my mates. Disco's are lovely off road. and there's nothing better than driving home after laning and sitting in your big comfy seat with the heater (that actually works) on full, knowing that the majority of your freinds are freezing their bits off listening to the noise from the front :)

welcome anyhoo's ;)
