just replaced the std intercooler hoses today for silicone ones ( steve parkers ) £34.45 inc vat they do a kit that just replaces the hoses as the elbow that goes to the turbo was very soft and i suspected it was colapsing when the power was put on did look at the dearer ones but they come with boy racer polished tubing which i didn't want its a shame these silicon hose manufacturers don't make the hoses in black as well as the other colours they do them in and i bet they would sell more i think in some cases the colours put peops off fitting them as they look too boy racerish anyway they seem to do the job.

Did you know you've lost your EGR and protective fan cover and you could replace those plastic top rad plug and thermostat housing plug with brass domestic radiator vent plugs ?

yeh i removed the EGR valve weeks ago and left the fan cover off as the rad looks like it needs replacing so when i get a new rad i will refit it.

No there not worth buying imo.
They wont make a blind bit of difference to anything.

Hi max
nothing wrong if you like that sort of stuff its just i want to keep the car pretty std as i only use the car for road use only i have a s11a for off road and if they did a cheep enough kit for a 200 tdi in a s11a i would fit one as the vehicle isn't std so wouldn't matter.

Hi niceday
i think they are worth fitting if you have a prob with your std intercooler hoses as the silicon ones are thicker and more ridgid don't get me wrong new std hoses will do the job but if you buy them seperatly they tend to be dearer than silicon ones if bought seperatly.
