Took my Y reg Disco for its first MOT to day the inspector failed it because when the side lights are on, there are lamps within the front indicators which illuminate showing orange, this is a standard fit lamp not a mod.
He got the MOT inspection manual out and it states; A front position lamp shows a light other than a white to the front,(or yellow if its incorporated in a yellow headlamp. This is a reason for rejection. He rang the MOT and he was told to issue a fail.
The inspector told me to get round it, take it away and remove the bulbs and he would pass it. This is a standard fit on a TD5 disco so all Disco's could fail on it.
Is he a jobsworth ?
Rang the dealer they told me to bring it in to them next week.
