As a celibration of my 1000th post  I thought i would introduce you lot to the expedition i'm doing next year.
GB PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPEDITION 2005
The Expedition:
10,000 miles around the coast of the UK, travelling anti-clockwise along the south coast from my home near Poole, heading east towards dover, up the east coast, round scotland, down the west coast, over to Ireland and Eire, back to wales, and finally round the west tip of cornwall and back home again.
I leave January the 1st....oh yes, its gonna be cold and snowy :D
Travelling in the Landy, of which you can read all about on the website:
www.photos-of-britain.co.uk
Please have a read, make suggestions of places to visit and if you wish, then send details and i shall try and meet up with some of you on the way round.
If you can pledge support of equipment/services then please get in touch as i can offer plenty of advertising in return.
Please also visit my sponsors websites, they have been great in supporting me and offer great products at fantastic prices.
Dont forget to check back as i hope to write a blog/diary of my travels and shall be producing published material when i return, from calendars and postcards to framed pics etc. All pics shall be published in the gallery as they are taken and processed, and i also hope to have a competition kindly sponsored by Cotswold Outdoor...when we sort it!!
Cheers for all your support so far, and long may it continue :)

UPDATE:
News page up and running, updated daily with prep info at the moment, but will be exped info, position, news, diary stuff when i;m on the move!
Website updated as i have recieved a bucket load of sponsorship recently from numerous companies. I've not got myself a Roof tent, awning, rack, storage system, knife, torch, fire extinguisher, steps, ladder and many other bits from Tim and Clare @ Trek overland.
Mud UK have helped me out with a bulkhead removal bar.
Cotswold outdoor are sponsoring me and helping with my kit and clothing, also keep your eyes peeled as they are sponsoring a competition where you can win £100 worth of vouchers for Cotswold outdoor....coming to the website soon so keep checking.
I'm still missing bits and pieces but hell...cant have it all (or can you ;)
Once again a big thanks to my sponsors, if your reading this! Have a look at their sites guys, they do fab kit (i'm not just saying that, i approached them cos i only wanted the best available), and a big thanks to all you guys who have offered a bed for a night, shower etc. and made suggestions of places to visit.
Keep them coming..
Simon.

We go over with the Landy once a year, peak time(June) ,carnt remember off the top of me head how much it costs, but it seems like you would be going off peak so prices maybe ok.
you can get a quote on line in the link.......Well worth the trip,if you ask me..
