I have seen radio controlled models of the LR 90. I was aondering if anyone here had one that they were fed up with that I could buy cheaply for a project with some lads at school. I'm a teacher and want to make a model 'off road' course with some 'disaffected' 15 year old boys.
we will obviously need vehicles to drive the course and that's where these land rovers come in.
the lads know my off road interests and are keen to have a go.
any offers?

I've seen this one and it's exactly what I want. it's been on ebay for a while and I have bid on it before up to £30 but that hasn't met the reserve. remember I want this for school, it's coming out of my pocket for a bunch of lads that most folk would call vandals!
thanks though

What I ment to say is that if you can get them for £30 I will pay for two of them for you.
Post or PM me with the address of the school and I will have the money sent to you.
Just post a few pictures of the course when its built with the kids playing with the new Landy's
If you need more? Have you asked your local Land Rover dealer to donate some to the school? Most dealers sell them and I am sure they would be willing to give?
I see your in Chester! I used to work for ArvinMeritor or ROR in Llay near to Wrexham.
Cheers

many thanks all,
I visited early learning and bought two for £30 each, the lads will be mortified to find that they are in police livery! (they will have seen them for real I'm sure)
Astbury, that is a very kind offer. if you are serious send me your email address via my email and i will give you the school name and address for a cheque. Not to me please.
yes we will be looking to out LR dealer to sponsor the building of the course. this will be about 20 feet by 12 feet and feature waterfalls, rockslides, logged roads, bridges and fords.
I have tried to attach a photo of what it will look like.
the idea is that after we have made the course and the lads have tried the models out we make our own, designing and making vacuum formed bodies, cnc cut chassis and suspension and personalised stickers.
the aim is to keep these lads in school long enough to get them through their exams.
all the best and thanks once again
