Well thanks to all our members, LRUK Forums are going from strength to strength, with more *active* members, more posts and more technical content than ever before … very soon we will be expanding our server capacity and bandwidth to ensure that we can support the current growth. We also plan to add new Land Rover related features in the near future, and there are more ideas in the pipeline.
Although running a website costs money, we believe very strongly that 1) access to the forums should be free and 2) there should be no advertising, pop-ups, banners etc. So we basically fund ourselves. Our first fundraiser, the T-shirts, was very successful and we have other ideas planned in that direction.
We have now added a ‘donation’ facility to the site, whereby members can donate a sum to help with the cost of maintaining and developing the site. It is entirely voluntary, you can donate if you want, and as little or as much as you want. Only the site admins know who has donated. Just click on Features > Donations at the top, to donate through Paypal, or if you would prefer to donate by cash or cheque, contact bhodisatva, Lighting90 or myself.
Thanks for reading this and for continuing to support and contribute to the site – we hope you keep enjoying it! :)
