After filling mine with water I am after a spare defender td5 ecu if anyone has one. Ideally post 2002 version. ( means I can just swap them round rather than having to find a radiator! )

Cash waiting

Cheers
Peter

From what I can gather, there'd be a slight issue with just getting any old ECU from the same age. Not all vehicles use the same ECU in the exact same model, as some will have extra programming to manage, perhaps, things such as Traction Control.

Unless I'm mistaken, this will make finding a compatible ECU a rather difficult task for your Defender.

I know about the differences between the pre and post 2001 MY ( Mine is actually a 01 - Yplate ) but I hadnt thought about the ABS / ETC problems.

Luckily I havent got that ( ARB Lockers instead:) ) or any other options as its a hard top so hopefully most should run it. maybe? even if they are over specified?

I want a post 02 one really so It can be modified more easily.

cheers
Pete
