what are these holes for ??

anybody know's what was mounted on these hole's, they are on the pasenger side of the dashpanel of my 110 (built 1990) near the astray ,the vehicle was used in the helicopter support role....(i do have a picture but don't know how to post :-(

BUT. Have a look at Great Pebbles reply to my Question Civvy/Mod 109.

That had similar sort of holes in the dash.:)
