I have a stock 95 Disco I and finallly wore out the michelins. I have firestone destination MT's on my jeep which are without a doubt the best MT's I've ever owned. I want to stick 245/75/16's destination MTs on the stock Disco but am concerned about the destination MT's teeth chewing through my disco's innards. Anyone running these tires? I am assuming the steering stop adjustment will fix any rubbing, is there anything else to it? I do not wish to lift this vehicle. Thanks in advance. Im just hoping someone can share their experience.

Hi, give it a lift, you get most sizes on then, gave mine a 2" lift then put a set of 31" Bronco MT's which are like tractor tyres and she was unstoppable and lookgood as well, when it comes to tyres BIG is Beautiful have a look http://www.guy1.co.uk/page2.html and good luck.

That Disco looks mighty fine with those boots on!

I run 245/75/16 BFG TracEgdes... they catch on left hand lock and *just* catch the inner lip of the rear arch (can be trimmed and not really seen). But I do have a 2" lift as well.

Hi KBJ, I run 245's on a Disco 1 on standard running gear, they only catch on full lock, otherwise all is fine, lifting the vehicle will not cure this ailment as the axle will still be in the same place after the lift. It seems the easy answer to all problems to give a 2" lift to the vehicle. We run a 110 for serious off road stuff with 35" muds on it with no lift all we did was a little trimming to the wheel arches where the trres rubbed.

KKK2, thanks for the info. I had a suspicion that was the case with the lift. Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it.
