99 Disco Oil Light always on!

Hi All,

I have 99 Disco series one. Was getting hot and found the intake was leaking. During this time the oil light illuminated. I have since replaced the intake gasket and thermostat, (what a job)! But the oil light remains on!

I changed the oil and filter in hopes it would correct the problem, it however did not. The book states this light is for oil level. Well the level is fine? I've been monitoring the temp and its fine. Any ideas what is going on?

I had the same problem when i did an oil change
I KNOCKED THE WIRE OFF THE SENSER its close to the oil filter
stuck it back on bingo

Thanks, I'll check out the sensor. Hopefully it's something simple and inexpensive as that!
