pressing ctrl alt del threw up a startling number of different exe files/program/thingies that I'd never heard of. I started googling them and found the above site. Still worth running anti adware programs though as is seems that some of the nasty programs have the same name as more benign ones.

Anyone any thoughts on microsofts anti spyware prog? I'm using it but ad-aware is finding stuff that the ms program isn't.

Depends on what you're familiar with...

www.sysinternals.com gives quite a bit of info :) You can get a "Process Explorer" that shows you not only what you have running but also the hidden ones. But be careful, because you also have the power to "kill" or "forcibly terminate" any files you see. Can be good coupled with a few other toys to clear up a buggy system :)
