i've just bought a scanner...an epson....and yet again with umax i bought before, the instructions are rubbish....not user friendly.
do not buy a umax or epson scanner...
do you wish sometimes that the people who make/sell the machines/software
would actually listen and care?

we used to have a HP scanner which was great until someone smashed the glass on it (no wasnt me).

We now have a HP all in one, which works great and an Epson all in one, which i never have any problems with.

There are a lot of USB cheap scanners these days. I've still got a parallel port scanner here... It's not plugged in or installed, but it's next to the computer when i need it :) ;)
