I know that this has been asked before but things change and move on so....
I have been thinking about getting a digital camera for some time, and keep looking round at what is on offer. Generally the Fuji and Canon brands seem to look reasonable but I have come across a Casio qv2800 for £328. For a 2.1 megapixel camera with an 8X optical zoom! this seems like a good price, but I don't know much about Casio camera's. Am I missing something here or is this just a very good deal. I know if I wait another 6 months I will probably be able to get a more compact camera with better resolution, bigger memory etc but is it worth buying now?
All comments gratefully accepted (any special offers on at Jessop's at the moment Vicky?).

You might as well buy now! Like any digital technology, its out of date and replaced by a better model within days of you buying it!!!!

If you keep saying, "i'll wait another 6 months for something better" then you will never get one!

Buy one now and enjoy it mate!!!

The prices seem to have stabilised now as do the specs available. The Camera I bought two years ago for a tadge under 500 notes is not made now but similar spec cameras are still around the 400 note mark which is a lot slower drop than it was.

As Mark says if you wait foir the next spec to come out there will be another one round the corner so you might as well buy one now. The quality is good enough for normal use and I have printed up to A3 with reasonable quality.

Mark is right, BUY IT NOW

Like he says with this type of technology it is instantly outdated, just like buying a new computer.

If upgrade to a Pentium 4 next week Intel will release a Pentium 5 chip:mad:
