Okay, my aging Palm blanked its memory last week due to total battery drain. Not a problem, sync from the desktop. ******, desktop had a corrupt address book entry and refused to play. After much cursing I managed to recover most of my contacts, losing about 300 names and addresses in the process. Not a happy bunny, and no faith in the handheld.
So, do I replace it with a new Palm (probably Tungsten T5) or follow the recommendations I've had to date and get the HP Ipaq (likely the 3715 model).
HP has the advantage of built in WiFi, whilst the Palm needs a (£90) card. However, I would lose the convenience of Palm's "Desktop" programme which I rely on, especially for its contacts database. And then there's the issue of getting all that data from Palm OS to the HP.
Anyone have the HP, or similar model, and tell me how they manage their contacts list?
Any experts shed any light?
Cheers,
Tony
