My Defender 110 County Twin Cab was stolen from the farm courtyard yesterday. It was obviosly stolen to order. They must have been watching us until we left the house for 30 mins at 11.30 in the morning.
The police came round and said another Land Rover vehicle had also been stolen from Rockingham castle about 10 miles away.
For the record it was Y 832 GRA.
Another farmers Land Rover was stolen about 50 yards away from me. As the farmer opened the field gate, two guys jumped out of the hedge and drove off in his car. These guys know exactly what they are doing.
If you live near Market Harboro, watch out, you will probably be next........!

I tried to find out the value of my lost vehicle so I could sort out the insurance. The dealer at Melton Mowbrey did not call back so I called Merlin at Nottingham. Somebody called me but could not give me the details and said somebody else would call. They did not.
I have just ordered a new vehicle.
It is NOT a Land Rover.
Tony.

Guys,
keep an eye out on ebay.
Someone I know in another forum had a bike stolen a few weeks ago, He looked at ebay everyday and soon he spotted some of the bits from his bike. He went to the Police who "couldn't " do anything (wierd that I thought they were supposed to solve crime!) So he hired an off duty policeman to go and collect the bits he Won on ebay with him once he confirmed the bits were his the copper phoned 999 said the magic words and some other police came around and arrested the scrote. They seemingly recovered an aladins cave of bits.

I can recomend Meck Lock SystemŽ. Its been featured in a few Land Rover mags. I plumbs into your clutch system and once the key is removed as soon as the clutch is depressed it can't be disengaged. i.e. it can't be driven away.
They are pricey but its save my 110 CSW twice. I only know because when i got to it on both occasions the pedal was down and the door unlocked.
They are so good if you've got one in Italy it can reduce your insurance by nearly half a sure sign that the rest of europe will follow.
If your interested in more info try this link.
