olo what is the problem with your landy? if it is just the crosses I can tell you or give you some advice on how to change them. it is a very easy task. 1 hr job

Which part of St.Lucia are you from? I used to live there... till 12 years ago or so. Actually I'm setting up my workshop there too. And bloody hell you're 5 days younger than me... :D

My garage in St Lucia is the garage of our house (the one we used to live in..) It's not far from the school either. Katerina Vitale Street.

Thing is it's too small for the landy to fit so I'm using it as a workshop because in sliema I can't do jack sh*t without the neighbours complaining. It's easier to work on the landy in the street there too because in sliema you get a million weird looks as soon as you open the bonnet with a socket in your hand. Bleah

landymaniac, am supposed to sort it out with nighthawk on saturday, do you know from where to buy crosses cheap but good? coz am clueless in such stuff (but willing to learn, help my budget :P )

btw thebaptist, guess u know me and dynamited already, we used to reside in gamelan :P

I would go straight to imgarr ciapella or joe mosta. remember to take the old cross with you or go with the landy as there are different types of crosses. they cost at about lm5.

remeber that when you are dismantling or assembling the cross the cylindrical part should always be 90 degrees to the yoke. otherwise prepare injections and whisky to calm down:dazzle:

for lm2 more you can get a lot better quality... I got the cheap ones at lm2.50 per cross last august but now they are already a bit worn... On our other landy we used the green box brand (I do not remember names) and its a happier landy :)

And take note of landymaniac's advice regards the needle bearings of those crosses, ghax tidghi.

GKN Hardy Spicer is the brand I believe. Ciapella use them. They are pretty expensive though (Lm6 each or so). There are 2 sizes. You need the smaller type. The larger type were used on pre-tdi 90s.

it was nice meeting you guys and great fun(dhaqt dahqa bis sahha). I never saw so much beer on 1 table:eek: . we could play bowling over there. Next time there would be some new members for sure. They couldn't come because are still fixing there landy:(
