Thanks for the info.. i was speaking to a chap who had turned up for last years event and they liked the organisation. Particularly the organisation in keeping the spectators on the right track.. in giving directions and helping them find good spots. Thats a sure plus!
I`ll come along as a spectator... always good to see the pro`s in action. Is this event all in a same place or scattered around the island like the noc? Well.. best is to attend the meeting ... which i hope i will.
All the best guys. Just a suggestion... the ferry boat saga... is that going to be sorted out in this event?

Hi
Thanks for the interest!
The boat saga ?? Sorry but I did not understand this point .. can you please explain more.
I would like to make a note regarding who can take part or not .... well all vehicles can be eligibile that is Modified/Hybrid and standard vehicles unless and this is a MUST they have a Roll cage which is suitable for the vehicle and must be at least be an AWDC standard and euipped with a functional winch since it is going to be used ALOT!!
Thanks again for the interest ... meanwhile if you need more info please feel free to ask ... except dates of activity since they are going to be classified for the ones who attend the Briefing on Thursday! :D

Hi Romton.. basically... try sort out the Ferry boat problems:
Excessive Mud which dirties the place,
too many landys at a go which alerts the authorities,
etc
Basically.. to keep a low profile of the event.

Bongu!!
I will be posting some information in the G1 website that is www.g1challenge.com (http://www.g1challenge.com) and also under the AWDC forum website for those who could not make it for yesterday meeting. Therefore please do not post any information with regards to this activity without my permission please!
If you would like more info then the one which I will post, please feel free to send me a PM and I will be more than glad to answer you all my friends!!
I was very glad to see Daniel yesterday meeting.. we had the time to chat a bit and I think with what he saw and heard he can easily understand why I am writing this post this morning.
First of all we are urging everyone to co-operate alot during the days of the activity! . We would llike this activity to serve as an example to everyone that we can practise a sport without being selfish and disturb or damage other's property! We have everything organised .. even a spectator guide to tell spectators where to park their vehicles so that we do not effect no-one furthermore we won't enter in places which are prohibited!
Last year it was a success! no fields and protected areas were touched thus no farmers came to complain ... anzi they enjoyed the show! and that's what we want this year again!! Let's give an example to everyone!!
Hope you understand and co-operate for the best interest of the four wheeling community and furthermore (I am going to be a bit selfish!) and to our sacrifices to organise an event!!
Thanks for understanding!
N.B. Do not take this post as I am addressing you as any culprits but to pass on the message to those who will be joining us to see the activity imma do not log in any forum! I am using you as my messengers to these persons!! Thanks again!

Tonio,
Yesterday's meeting was very well organised and details were very clear about pretty everything that everyone needed to know! I was glad I was there as apart from meeting with some of you again in a bit of relaxed atmosphere I could also hear the details first-hand.
We need not argue about whose culprit or not anymore, the days of such argument are over it was just a misunderstanding. We are all on the same wavelength here and I noticed this thing even more yesterday (though I did hear some unwelcome words about beginners from some who I guess everyone knows who they are!!!)
Anyway let's just hope this year's G1 is as good as last year's!!!
Good luck to all competitors!!
Shame only on one thing..........Maurice's vehicle is still in the waiting list :p
Daniel.

Im really sorry i couldnt make it yesterday... now i`ll be bugging Daniel for details. But if they`re be on your site... great!
Really wish you the best for this years event... i`ve heard so many good comments from spectators who came along last year... and they`ve told me not to miss it.

Your prayers come throu! Daniel!!
Mela first of all Team 8 that is Stefan and Josef Borg Grech had to drop down due to personal reasons. Therefore Stefan il Kamoy and Alister took their place and are Team 8
Now after a meeting with the Organising Committee, they are giving a concession for this year by increasing the participants from 10 to 12, therefore Kenneth and Maurice are in!!
What you think guys?
For further information please visit the G1 website which is updated with the latest news!!

from my side I think it is fair. i think for annother car ther should be no problems. after all thses guys spend thosands of money on their trucks and these challenges and the most fun they can have. and we are all friends. it's a pity to have yor friend as a spectator with his vehicle prepared to race

WOW!!!!!! A truly wish come true then Tonio!!! I think I'm not the only one to get this as a very good news!!
I think it's not such a bad move to have 12 vehicles. It's a once a year event after all!!
