Hi, im thinking about getting some side steps in chrome for my 3 door 1998 1.8 XEI freelander.??
Are these easy to fit.?? what mods have to be done if any.??
Please advise me.

cheap and easy to fit . they will supply you with the tools if required ..
ask them for extra nutserts and bolts though. as if you dont get the torque right then the bloody things slip and you have to get the hacksaw out and drill the knacked one out ... trust me i know ...
cheapest i have found with all the fittings and tools supplied ( have to return tools within 4 wks )

Anyone know anything about the ones that you often see on Ebay (the new ones)? Any expereience of those anyone?

hearty welcome to the forum as well.
DO NOT worry about the mods as they will come by themself once you go seriously off-road with runningboards on a Freelander.

I bought a pair of the ones from Ebay - the're was a choice of silver with silver tread, silver with black rubber tread (i got this one) or black.
The silver is powder coated which should last and the rubber is the proper thich tread.
These came with all fixings and were so easy even i could fit them by myself :) - bargain at £135
