i use IrfanView
I've used the powertool for ages to resize piccies for the forums, never had a problem with it. Find it a simple and easy tool to use.

I use MS Photo Editor which just seems to be on my computer. Simple to use, and I can also sharpen / smudge etc etc ...
Funny, with my digtial camera I got 'Ulead Photo Explorer' I think it's called ... installed it, and it will do all sorts of wizardry except just about the only tool I wanted form it - resizing! So I never bother with it, just another load of stuff to learn, can;t be bothered

I noticed that this forum does rely on Exif data when posting images. Sticking photos up of the Ltwt last night, I could only do so after removing the exif stuff. So using the XP software I rotated the image 4 times in one direction and then posted it.
All the camera, image, date, time, etc etc details were wiped...
Well, actually it would have only been the size, date and time as now I think about it that image was taken pre-Digital (on engine No 2 ISTR) :D :D
Oh well
Cheers

I tried to post a picture, and it told me I had already posted it. It recognised this even though I changed the file size. It accepted it once I had wiped the Exif data.

I think to post a pic thats already been posted by yourself, you need to rename the original, then resize that......I think
