Hi Graham,
Don`t know if this will work but worth a try!
Load the disc & if it auto runs cancel it so that so that it`s not running ... open your email client & go to attach like you would do with any other file, navigate to the drive the disc is in & choose the file & attach.
Now this is the bit that might not work ... first 8.95 MB is quite a big file to send by email, so it might time out & secondly it will probably be a .EXE file so some ISP`s won`t let you send it in case it`s some sort of virus!
Another option is uploading it to your free webspace, but you would need an FTP client & tell him to look at it there.
I may be totally wrong here, but worth trying ... good luck!

What quality do you want the receiver to get?
If your film is in .avi format then it is possible to compress it, but you will lose quality in the pictures, and frames can get a bit "jumpy".
If you film is already highly compressed, then you have a problem :(
A 9MB in high quality is VERY short (a few seconds only).

Good point Marc! ... you could also try compressing it in Winzip or some similar software first before sending it :)

Thanks guys, i did attach it to an email but it was too big :(
Think I may have to copy it to a CD and post it.
Which email package are you using? I use Outlook 2000 and regularly send files over 10mb.

As far as I know, .avi files don't compress well, even with Winzip.
I do video/DVD authoring as a bit of a hobby/pocket money generator, and I've found that 60 minutes of high quality video takes somewhere around 10GB.
Regarding e-mailing large files: I think the limitation lies with the service provider, not with the software. I often use Outlook to send huge files to other users on my network without difficulty, but sometimes can't send even a 1.2MB file to some of my customers because their service provider only allows a maximum of 1MB.
There are several programs that will convert .avi files to mpeg format in a more compressed form. Try www.tucows.com or downloads.com
