Freelander petrol consumption

Hi gang does anybody know if whilst in the sport mode on a v6 freelander auto the petrol consumption increases? I have only had it for 2 days now and i am happy as Larry with it thanks.

i would imagine your fuel consumption would increase ...

as with any automatic sports mode is a perfomance selection. this mode allows the gearbox to hang onto its gears longer thus giving you more revs and performance. for pottering around town etc i wouldnt reccomend it , not unless you like the petrol stations :D ;)
