Mungo, not quite sure I've got you right, can you just clarify - have you got 2 email addresses and you want them both to run in Outlook Express 6? (easily done) Or do you actually want to acquire a second email address? (also easily done)

Mungo,
If you've already got a 2nd email address from a different provider, and you'd like Outlook Express to send/receive with that account at the same time as your first one ... in Outlook Express, click on Tools > Accounts > Add > Mail and follow the Wizard. You will need to provide some details such as POP3 server name, SMTP server name (I think) but these should all be provided by your ISP when you got your account.
You will have to make a few simple choices such as which account is your default, ie any emails you send will be from that account.
(I've got Outlook checking 4 email addresses for me at the same time - or is it 5 I've lost count  )
If you just want to get a 2nd email address, you simply need to register with someone like www.hotmail.com, yahoo, etc, and open an account - make up a username for yourself and away you go. But they are web-based, ie you go to the Hotmail website and log in to pick up emails. You can;t access them through Outlook Express (I don't think! :D )

Does your ISP not give you more than one email address? They usually let you have a few, say 5 or 7 - you have to set it up yourself though, but there would be guidance on their website - onetel or incredimail?
If you want the other email to work through Outlook Express, it will have to come from an ISP like the one you're already with.

Well i use Gmail....(can send an invitation if you want just PM me!!).
It's by invitation only so you can't just go to the website and sign up....how ever you can use it as POP3 (so with outlook express or you E-maill Client) and Web-based (on the internet) and you can have both as i have it on Outlook Express at home and use it Web-based everywhere else (school, girlfriends, mates)

Yes, thats all I want, to set up another email address, the trouble is I don't know how to go about it.
I want another address for buying/selling on ebay ect, that can be used independantly of my main address, set up so that when I switch on the computer it is activated by by a password or something, and my main email from friends etc just downloads as normal.

Yep if you want to keep it separate from your normal email, I'd go for hotmail. Just go to www.hotmail.com and follow the instructions to create an account, dream up a username for yourself and that's it done. Each time you want to access it then, you go to the hotmail website and key in your username and password. So your current email would keep working as it does now through Outlook Express, and you would go and pick up emails form Hotmail when you wanted to.
