Been living in Belgium for a while (15 years) have about five years no claims as before I had a company car.
So the question is now I'm getting closer to buying a Disco. Who should I try for insurance.

When I moved to Switzerland from the UK I had to get car insurance. I asked my UK insurance to fax me a letter stating that I had made no claims nor caused any accidents. If you get your previous company in Belguim to do that you might be able to extend your no-claims period.

Indeed Nick I intend doing this, mais merci pour ta reponse.....
Been going thru this myself, ended up with adrian flux, but am still waiting on the proof of ncb from my portuguese broker. the insurance companies here insist that it is translated to english by the insurance company and it must state x years no claims bonus. my ncb cert from portugal stated I had 47% ncb, this was not good enough !!
also, if you have been out of the uk for a period of time, they dont like that ! well in terms of getting a reasonable quote, possibly even being refused cover with some companies !!
A lot of insurance companies quoted me, but then on confirming the deal they decided they woudnt accept ncb from a foreign insurer!! Adrian flux so far is the only one to keep their word, however I am jumping thru hoops for them :( dont get me started !!
Good luck.. ;)
Ta, I've always had a UK address but Begian insurance. I'll get the letter in years...

The best one for me I found was Direct Line as I was under 25 but had 7 years no claims I was getting loads of quotes of £1000 and above but Direct Line quoterd me £600.
I used to be insured through ESure, who were cheapest, when I hadn't had an accident for several years!
They have a sister company that's supposed to be good value for "expensive cars" - Can't recall the name though.
Sainsburys seems quite cheap. You can get a prelim. quote online.
