I'm a complete newbie to this site so please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong!
My series 2 Disco has started making a buzzing sound from the rear offside whenever I indicate right.
I've tracked this down to a small box of electronics with a buzzer in it tucked behind the rear offside light cluster. What the heck is this and what does it do (apart from making an annoying buzzing noise!). Anyone know?
All advice appreciated.

Anything to do with trailer lights? Mine buzzes when I've got the lightboard plugged in.
Try the standard Landrover cure.
Jet Wash it
Spray WD40 all over it
Whack it with a hammer or large screwdriver
Take it apart and reassemble it
Please excuse the above as a BUMP, someone else will be more help :)

Glad you agree, I must be getting the hang of this Landrover fixing malarkey
:D
Only thing to add would be if it's completely covered in mud and oil, as I'm learning a Landy should be then give it a good dose of GUNK* before you jetwash it
;)
Further Whacks and/or words of encouragement/threat can be used in moderation for particularly difficult jobs.
*GUNK is the latest addition to my toolkit, not convinced by its effectiveness but I like the smell

Are you suggesting his sister smells of Gunk?
I can see it now, attractive lady in Barbour jacket, voice-over says....When there is only one thing that will get him out from under his Landy - Eau de Gunk.

I am glad to see your skill level is increasing. My toolbox mainly consists of hammers, or as I call them "persuaders".

Yup, sounds like water has gotten in to the trailer coupling as mine did the same. I drowned it in WD40, reset it with Fine Adjusting Tool No1 (large hammer) and then sealed with Holts Damp Start Ignition Sealer. Lasted a couple of months until the real heavy rain started (may use FAT No2 this time - lump hammer, and blue hylomar around rubber cover). If you don't actually tow a trailer it may be worth removing these electrics altogether as it is a recurring problem.
If only I could fix diesels, weld, fabricate new rear floors/ crossmembers, etc, Disco ownership might actually be fun.
WHAT WAS I THINKING OF WHEN I BOUGHT THIS THING ???????????????
