I thought that canvas is cheaper off season.........apparently not!
I am looking for a military 9x9 tent to go with my 109 to shows.
last years price £350

current from 'Mud Hooks'
£450

Is it worth it?

Hi Rex
£450.00 is about right only if it is a grade 1 tent, most being sold off are grade 2 i.e. some patches but still servicable and weatherproof. I think those are around £375.00. Which ever grade you go for check that every leg is the same length, that the tubes are not distorted or have ovalised ends. Also watch out for linking and corner pieces that are out of true. That is in addition to doing the usual canvas check for tears or missing toggles. I've no regrets about getting mine - lots of space - I may even get an inflatable settee and a couple of arm chairs ready for this display season.
See you on the EMLRA curcuit
Cheers
Peter

I thought a Sandbag and Hot Water Bottle was more the vogue Bob. Or is that only for us who drive big green beasties?
Rex

PS can I borrer your sandbag?

Yez jessies,

Molest me not with such modern chicanery as bivi bags.
In my day you had a poncho and an entrenching tool and were damn glad of it !

Anyway... that seems a bit on the pricey side for a 9x9 to me...
I'd take to following those big green trucks about, they've been known to fall off the back.
