MY 200TDI GOES STRAIGHT INTO REVERSE.IS THIS PROBLEM CURABLE WITHOUT TAKING THE BOX OUT.:rolleyes:

how do you mean mate? does the gearlever go straight towards the dash and not to the left and forwards?

Yes.
The gate and springs are on top of the box you have to go in through the centre console. Be careful how many bolts/nuts you undo as the springs are tensioned for 1st and 2nd/3rd and 4th. I'm pretty sure (from memory when I did mine) that the reverse gate is up there too.

what i mean is when i go to put it in first it always ends up in reverse.hope you can help thanks
