Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on this forum. I have a question to ask. Im a proud owner of a 2000 disco2 in the US. I love the car but one thing is starting to bother me. Why is the rear suspension on it soo damn hard and stiff??

Is it equpied with ACE or SLS?
Has the sensor spring come unhooked from the rear radius arm?

It has both ACE and SLS. it just seems like the rear end rides really hard. A couple weeks ago i went to the dealer to pick up dads summer wheels and tyres for his s- class and with the added weight of the wheels the car rode like a dream. i normally have to slow down for harsh railroad crossings but with the added weight i didnt even notice the bumps. it seems like the suspension needs some added weight for it to preform right.
I find the Disco 2 rides a little more firmly than the D1, but I certainly don't find it harsh.
If it has a towball fitted, it would be worth talking to the previous owner in case he's modified the suspension for whatever reason.
Failing which, leave a couple of bags of sand in the back at all times. Probably the cheapest fix you will find:D
Regards
Jon
