Towing Weight

Does anybody know how much a freelander will tow? I need to know if it will cope with towing a Series III 88" diesel on a trailer. I have been reliably informed that the series weighs in at 1400kg

Yep, as the other link states .. plenty of capacity for a 1400Kg series on a 250Kg-ish trailer. Can't see it struggling too much either, used to pull a 1300Kg caravan with ease in our relatively asthmatic L series diesel engined one.

Should be fine. worked for a marquee compnay last two summers, they have a disco and a freelander, and the freelander can cope with anything. we weight verything last summer to work out how much it was towing (so as not to go over the limit) and it was on it's towing limit. It does this 5 days a week for the last 50K and nothing other than routine servicing was needed.
