im looking for some wheel nuts and studs.
about to do some work on the 110 which requires taking the wheels off and looking at them i have this distinct feeling that its aither gonna trash the thread on some nuts or snap the studs, they appear to have been on there a long time....
its for a 1983 110 with 8 spoke steel wheels on if that helps
if you do have anything please email at james@landrover-110.co.uk

Changing the wheels studs is much harder than it looks. You will need to remove the stub axle and seperate the hub from the carrier. I've done this job, but I had the use of a fully equipped workshop.
Removing the wheels nuts shouldn't damage the studs. Seeing as you have aftermarket rims, they must have been remove fairly recently too.

Take it down to a tyre place and give em a few quid to loosen them with the air socket, much more torque than humans can muster. Saves bruised knuckles and bent spanners.

having spoken to someone last night, it wasnt getting them undone (we have a 5ft scaffold pole for that) it was if i break something, and if i have some then it doesnt matter, and sods law says if i have some they wont break anyway.
they definately look like they havnt been off for some time tho!
all it is im planning to change the rear shocks and its easier with the wheel off.

Blimey! You're actually getting round to binning your weedy springs and shocks??
Just get the socket on there and get them cracked off!
If any shear you'll be off the road for a while anyway.
I've got a full set of steel wheel nuts here if you need any, but I seriously can't see there being a problem. Series1 and 2 studs were always the problem ones. Series1 ones would screw themselves out of the hub, but at least they were easy to put back in.
You could give them a squirt of WD40 a day or 2 before you try if you really want.
